Having an accident can be a traumatic experience. Here are some
helpful answers to frequently asked questions and tips to make your
experience a positive one.
My vehicle is still under warranty. Do I need to take it
to the dealership?
No, it is not necessary to take your damaged vehicle to the delaership.
Your warranty is with the manufacturer of the vehicle and not the
dealer. Even though you may take your car to the dealership, it
may not be repaired there. Many dealerships do not have their own
collision repair facility and outsource the work.
Are all collision repair warranties the same?
No. Some collision facilities limit the amount of warranty coverage
they will perform. Be sure to inquire what these restrictions are
and ensure they satisfy your needs. All CSN facilities offer a limited
lifetime warranty for as long as you own your vehicle.
Who gets to choose the collision repair facility for my
repairs?
You have the right o choose where you want to have your vehicle
repaired. Many insurance companies have preferred collision repair
facilities but the ultimate choice is yours. All qualified shops
will offer a lifetime written warranty on the collision work performed.
Be sure to inquire if the collision repair shop is certified, performs
quality repairs and maintains up-to-date training and technology.
All CSN facilities meet these recommendations and offer a limited
lifetime warranty for as long as you own your vehicle.

with other driver(s).
- Drive your vehicle if it seems unsafe.
- Sign any releases with towing companies, repair shops or insurance
companies that you have not read and fully understand.
Why are there so many differences in estimates so different
from one shop to another?
One of the reasons estimates may differ from another shop is thoroughness
of the appraisal process. Some estimates may leave necessary repairs
out of the initial estimate, causing the amount to be different
from another facility. We take our time to identify the steps necessary
for a quality and safe repair for your vehicle.
How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?
Your advisor can give you an estimate of the time it will take to
complete the repairs to your vehicle. Be sure to check with your
advisor for the specifics on your vehicle.
Do I report an accident to the police?
Yes, by law you are required to advise the police within 48 hours
of the accident.
